all good things don't end

            FAMILY

       When it comes down to it family is what keeps me sain.. Life can come at you with full force and knock you right on your toosh, but who will always be there to pick you back up and give you sweet words of encouragement like "Better luck next time" or "Man that was really dumb"? Thats right it is family that will always be there. I have always said that a true friend is someone that you may have lost contact with or haven't talked to in months but, when you do cross paths again it is like no time had past at all. That is in essence what my family is all about, we are friends who will no matter the circumstance rise up and lift you up to become an even better you. That being said it has been a CRAZY past few weeks filled with jokes, games, laughs, tears of joy and tears from cat fights, Yellowstone, Lewis and Clark Caverns (which we all found out were actually not even seen by Lewis nor Clark..) swimming at Rexburg Rapids, the ZOO, Rigby Lake, Daniels Resivoir, and the list goes on... My personal favorite were the cat fights.. I love them. Not only because they remind me of the hair pulling, arm scratching, name calling times growing up but that we are infact human! :) None of this would have been possible without the help from our master choreographer and leading light the one the only TAMI ERICKSON our mother! She really is the most amazing woman I know, she is the glue to our family going out of her way to make things run smoothly so the rest of us have a killer time! One thing that I think we loose sight of is that time doesn't stop and cannot be slowed down and sometimes when you don't have a second to breath time only moves by more swift.. so the only thing you can do is pop in a xanax and enjoy the time we have together! ;) For me some of the best times are of those just lofing around eating M&M's drinking Root Beer floats and just talking. Even then time doesn't rest but at least we got a few words in! When all is said and done, the bags are packed back up, and nothing is forgotten.. (by nothing I mean you all owe mom for shipping back everything you left!) We look back and can only think about the next time all of us friends can come together for yet another Erickson family reunion. I love you all so much and pray daily for your health to be continually strong and for an angel to watch over you while you sleep, until next time stay young!

first things first

This is a new thing for Ashley and I but I'm excited to finally be out there in the blogging world!

          I have always felt that Facebook creates this misconception in the viewers mind as to who the person really is inside. True it is a great way to stay in touch with friends lost in the transition from the easy life to real life, keep up on the latest gossip of who divorced who, find out what time Danny the Skeleton Horse starts their set, and what guys I have to take into the back ally to show in real life i'm not scared to go fist to cuff.. but it also gives you a free pass to the online world *dundundun* a world of virtual space which all in all is a space of nothing.. It is the difference between 2D and 3D. For me 3D is a Landscape of open fields, picket fences, vast mountains, wind blowing through trees, stars shooting across the sky etc. Two deee is looking through glass only to see color and misconception.. Alas! I sit and write not on paper but a page created for viewers no different from you or I, so we (Ashley and I (Scott)) have created this Blog to maybe give a little more insight as to who we really are inside rather than who we may appear to be. With that being written sit back enjoy the show grab some popcorn, maybe even a diet Coke and sink yourself deep into the lives of two souls very much in love. stay young.
